Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do with the Attaché Desk platform, website, APIs, add-ins, and associated services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Attaché Desk Ltd ("Attaché Desk", "we", "us").

This AUP forms part of your agreement with Attaché Desk. By using the Services, you agree to comply with it. References to "you" include the subscribing organization and all authorized users accessing the Services on its behalf.

1. Intended Use

The Services are designed for professional diplomatic drafting, research, document review, and related knowledge-management tasks — including but not limited to:

  • Drafting Talking Points, Briefing Notes, Travel Files, démarches, notes verbales, aide-mémoires, and reporting cables;

  • Researching treaty, resolution, and official source material;

  • Managing counterpart profiles, dossiers, and agreed-language corpora;

  • Reviewing and refining diplomatic documents for register, citation, and classification compliance;

  • Conducting policy monitoring and analysis for missions, ministries, and IGO teams.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful professional purposes consistent with this intended use.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Services — or cause or permit others to use the Services — for any of the following:

2.1 Unlawful and harmful activities

  • Any activity that violates applicable law, regulation, or binding governmental order;

  • Activities that facilitate, support, or fund sanctioned entities, designated terrorist organizations, or activities prohibited under UN, EU, US, or applicable national sanctions regimes;

  • Uploading or processing content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of any person;

  • Generating content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate third parties, including the creation of fabricated official communications falsely attributed to governments, international organizations, or diplomatic institutions.

2.2 Misuse of AI capabilities

  • Deliberately attempting to elicit false, fabricated, or misleading diplomatic content for use as if authentic;

  • Using the Services to produce deepfakes, synthetic identities, or forged credentials;

  • Attempting to circumvent the platform's Protocol Score, classification gates, agreed-language enforcement, or source-tier labelling systems;

  • Using the Services to generate propaganda, disinformation, or content designed to manipulate electoral, legislative, or diplomatic processes in bad faith;

  • Attempting to extract, reverse engineer, reconstruct, or reproduce any of Attaché Desk's proprietary Playbooks, agreed-language corpora, source registry data, or model configurations in a form not authorized by Attaché Desk.

2.3 Security and infrastructure abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other Subscriber accounts, or any associated systems or infrastructure;

  • Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Services without Attaché Desk's prior written authorization;

  • Introducing malicious code, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful components into the Services;

  • Engaging in any activity that disrupts, degrades, or places an unreasonable load on the Services or underlying infrastructure;

  • Circumventing or attempting to defeat any access controls, rate limits, authentication mechanisms, or encryption applied by the Services.

2.4 Data handling violations

  • Uploading content that is classified at a level that exceeds what is authorized for the Services under your organization's information security policy and applicable law, without appropriate safeguards;

  • Processing the personal data of third parties through the Services in violation of applicable data protection law or without a lawful basis;

  • Submitting Subscriber Content containing sensitive personal data categories (as defined by the GDPR) where the Services are not configured or authorized for such processing under your Subscriber Agreement.

2.5 Commercial restrictions

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise making the Services available to third parties not authorized under your Subscriber Agreement;

  • Using the Services to build a competing product or to benchmark the Services against competitors without Attaché Desk's prior written consent;

  • Removing, obscuring, or altering any intellectual property notices, labels, or branding within the Services.

3. Classification Responsibility

Attaché Desk enforces technical classification gates based on the designations applied by users within the platform (e.g., Restricted, Confidential). You are responsible for:

  • Applying accurate classification to documents and sessions consistent with your organization's security policy;

  • Ensuring that live external search and retrieval is only used for content that your classification policy permits to interact with external sources;

  • Informing authorized users of their classification responsibilities when they access the platform.

Attaché Desk does not independently verify the classification or sensitivity of Subscriber Content. Responsibility for classification accuracy rests with the Subscriber.

4. Counterpart and Third-Party Data

The Dossier and counterpart-profile features of the Services may be used to store information about individuals in their professional diplomatic capacity. You agree to:

  • Use counterpart profile data only for legitimate diplomatic preparation, relationship management, and research consistent with your professional role;

  • Comply with applicable data protection law when processing any personal data about third parties within the Services;

  • Not store personal data about individuals that is disproportionate to the legitimate diplomatic purpose, or that relates to their private life rather than their public diplomatic role.

5. Source and Citation Integrity

The Services retrieve from curated source registries and apply citation-tier labels (Official, Analysis, Press, OSINT, Social, Web). You agree not to:

  • Present AI-generated citations or outputs as verified without independent review;

  • Remove, alter, or obscure source attributions or tier labels applied by the platform;

  • Submit AI-drafted content for official diplomatic use without appropriate review and clearance by a qualified officer.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP by any user within your organization, or by a third party, please report it to:

If you believe there is a security vulnerability or active security incident, contact security@attachedesk.ai immediately.

7. Consequences of Violation

Attaché Desk reserves the right to, at its discretion:

  • Investigate any suspected violation of this AUP;

  • Suspend or terminate access to the Services for any user or Subscriber that violates this AUP, with or without prior notice in cases of serious or ongoing violations;

  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities and regulators where required by law or where we reasonably believe a violation involves criminal activity;

  • Seek injunctive relief or other legal remedies where violation causes or threatens to cause harm to Attaché Desk, other Subscribers, or third parties.

Termination for AUP violation does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Services or by email. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
